In return for using less energy during times of peak electric demand — and allowing small, temporary adjustments to your thermostat — TVA EnergyRight and your local power company will reward year-round participants with a $65 enrollment rebate and an annual $65 participation rebate. Summer-only participants will receive $65 at enrollment and $20 annually.
You're in control
You can opt out of thermostat adjustments at any time from your mobile device, web browser or thermostat. However, you must maintain a 65% participation rate to receive the $65 (year-round) or $20 (summer-only) participation rebate.

Make saving energy easy with TVA EnergyRight Smart Thermostat Rewards.
Smart thermostats make it easy and convenient to manage your home’s energy use. Whether you’re at home or away from home, adjusting your thermostat is quick and convenient.
Plus, by enrolling your smart thermostat in Smart Thermostat Rewards program, you’re helping make sure that electricity is available to the entire region during times of peak energy demands — like a winter cold snap or a summer heat streak.
Annual savings, ongoing rewards.
Participants will receive a $65 enrollment rebate. After the summer season, you’ll receive an additional $65 (year-round) or $20 (summer-only) rebate*.
When you enroll your thermostat in the Smart Thermostat Rewards program, you agree to small adjustments up to four degrees for a duration of up to four hours during times of peak demand. Although you must maintain a 65% participation rate to qualify for the annual participation rebate, you can opt out of an event at any time using your thermostat or mobile app.
