If you live within TVA’s seven-state service territory and you own a qualifying Wi-Fi connected thermostat for cooling, you may be eligible!

You can receive a $65 rebate for enrolling in the TVA EnergyRight® Smart Thermostat Rewards program. Plus, if you stay enrolled, you get an additional $20 rebate each year for participating in the Summer Only program or an additional $65 rebate each year for participating in the Year Round program. Check with your local power company to confirm eligibility; not all local power companies are participating in Smart Thermostat Rewards.

When you enroll in Smart Thermostat Rewards, your thermostat may occasionally be adjusted by no more than 4 degrees on the enrolled thermostat(s) in your home for four hours or less during periods of peak energy demand. For Summer Only participants, events can be called between June 1 – September 30th. For Year Round participants, event can be called between October 1 – September 30th. Events will not occur on weekends or holidays, except in the event of a rare system emergency. You can opt out of peak energy events from your mobile device, web browser or thermostat.

Our Smart Thermostat Rewards program puts money into your pocket and it also helps make sure that electricity is available to the entire region during times of peak energy demands — like a winter cold snap or a summer heat streak.
